The Matador Ranch offers some of the best hunting opportunities available. Located a convenient 90 minutes east of Lubbock on the Rolling Plains of Texas, the Matador Ranch is a 60,000-acre working cattle ranch which operates in Motley, and Dickens counties.
The ranch’s terrain includes mesquite, cedar, rolling plains, rugged canyons and open pastures. The ranch’s goal is to improve the long-term health and productivity of its renewable natural resources in order to profitably sustain not only domestic livestock, but wildlife as well.
Guided Hunts
Hunting packages include guides, lodging, meals and field preparation and are available for the following:
- White-tailed deer
- Mule deer
- Rio Grande turkey
- Wild quail
- Predator/Wild hogs
- Dove
- Fishing
Hunting Leases
We have seasonal deer and quail leases available on the highly-managed historic Matador Ranch. There is no housing available on the Matador Ranch with the hunting lease. Housing is available to rent or purchase within the community of Matador and Motley County.
